The Role
The Director of Operations & Quality will lead RefluxRaft’s manufacturing partnerships, supply chain operations, and quality systems as the company continues to scale. This role is responsible for ensuring our products are manufactured to the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance while maintaining a reliable supply for a growing customer base.
Working closely with leadership, this person will oversee core operational systems — including GMP compliance, vendor management, inventory planning, and logistics — while building the processes needed to support a rapidly expanding product portfolio.
This leader will also play a critical role in bringing new products to market, coordinating manufacturing readiness, quality standards, and operational launch planning for future SKUs.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in regulated CPG or supplement manufacturing, strong project management capabilities, and meticulous attention to detail. As RefluxRaft grows, this role is expected to evolve into leadership of a broader operations team.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control & Compliance
- Own and maintain GMP compliance across all manufacturing partners
- Review and approve Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and batch documentation
- Establish and maintain lot tracking and traceability systems
- Oversee product testing protocols (identity, potency, heavy metals, microbial, etc.)
- Maintain recall readiness and adverse event reporting processes
- Ensure labeling and claims align with regulatory requirements
- Develop and document SOPs for quality assurance processes

Conduct vendor quality audits as needed
Inventory Management
- Develop and implement robust inventory and quality control systems and procedures for all raw materials, finished goods, and marketing collateral.
- Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and execute replenishment strategies to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy.

Identify and implement opportunities for inventory optimization and cost reduction.
Supply Chain Management
- Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers for both operational inventory and marketing materials.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs) to secure favorable terms and ensure consistent quality.
- Optimize transportation and warehousing logistics to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks (e.g., disruptions, delays, quality issues).
- Implement and maintain supply chain best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain a streamlined system for tracking, ordering, and fulfilling marketing material requests.

Ensure brand consistency and quality standards across all production and manufacturing runs.
Special Project Management

Lead and manage various projects related to inventory optimization, supply chain improvements, and marketing material initiatives from conception to completion.
New Product Development
- Support new SKU launches from formulation through production
- Coordinate pilot runs and testing
- Ensure operational feasibility of packaging and labeling

Align launch timelines with marketing and revenue goals
Reporting & Analysis
- Develop and present regular reports on inventory levels and supply chain performance.
- Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential challenges.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership for strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- 7–12+ years in CPG, supplement, or regulated manufacturing
- Deep familiarity with GMP and supplement quality standards
- Proven experience in project management, with a strong focus on supply chain operations.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles (e.g., demand forecasting, safety stock, lead time).
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes, including logistics, warehousing, and vendor management.
- Experience reviewing COAs and batch documentation
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP or other relevant project management certification.
- Experience with ERP or inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Recall or adverse event management experience
